How we teach
01
Immersive teaching
Chinese taught in context: at the shop, at school, with friends.
02
Listening first
Lots of listening and speaking, not only drills, so a first new language is fun to learn.
03
Real-world scenarios
Ordering food, asking for directions: each lesson gives students something to use straight away.
How progress is tracked
What a cycle looks like
Week 1
Free assessment
Every student starts with a diagnostic so we know exactly where they are.
Week 1
Placed by level, per subject
A Year 10 student can study Year 9 maths and Year 8 English. We teach the level, not the label.
Every day
Daily practice
Short, targeted exercises set to each student’s level, every day.
Every week
Weekly progress report
Strengths, gaps and what to focus on next, with attendance, time on task and accuracy.
Week 3
Checkpoint every three weeks
A fixed-standard test confirms progress. Meet the bar and the student moves up a level.
Pass the checkpoint, move up a level, and round we go again!
